What is A Mesh Network?

The router node (parent node) will connect with the modem via Ethernet cable. The child nodes (extenders or satellites) will connect with the router node via WPS (without using any cable or wire). The working of the mesh system is simple. The router node will recevie the signals from the modem. Then router will send the signals to the child nodes and these nodes provide internet connection throughout your bog house.

The location of the mesh router and other nodes should be in the center of the house rooms and are connected in each other reach.

It builds a type of LAN (local Area network) with the help of the nodes connected in o the network. These nodes (devices) work together to broadcast a WiFi signal over a large area like your big house and large number of rooms.

As you know the mesh WiFi provides the same network within the different networking devices, so it can happen that a node is weak in different areas of the house. Easy and Simple to Install

Even though there are more than one node in the Mesh system, it is easy to install. You must set up the router node once with the cable and then you can connect the other nodes without the cables. High Cost (Expensive)

As meshes provide user a seamless and strong connectivity but cost more than routers and extenders. Any brand mesh system will cost more than $300 US dollars to the users. If you compare it with the routers and extender combined price it is double. So, cost is one of the disadvantages of Mesh system.

Complex Topology

It is very confusing that the parent node will connect to the modem via cable, but where to put the child nodes and how much the distance should be in between. The reach of the router node can be upto 30m or less than 30m. So, there are complexations in topologies of the mesh system.
